Planning a Disney Trip- A Year Out

HopefulTravelMom

First off.... booking your Disney Trip is the easiest thing to do. I follow so many different groups, but my favorite one on facebook is Smart Moms Planning Disney. It's ran by another Mom in Kentucky, LJ and it's just Moms helping Moms plan their trips. Anytime I started to have a question, I would go to the facebook group and look to see if anyone else had asked it already. If you aren't following that group, I recommend it. #smartmomsplanningdisney

Disney's website is set up so easy to plan a trip. You can compare different Disney resorts, if you want to add on any additional things, or keep it basic.

We booked after I compared about 10 different ways. I looked at different meal plans, if we really needed the memory maker, and which different resorts we could fit into the budget. WE DO HAVE A BUDGET. #budgetsrock #disneyonabudget Oh, whose going you ask? Both of my parents, my sister, my 10 year old little handsome guy, my rocking adorable baby who will be 16 months at the time of travel, and myself.

I literally compared every possible vacation I could. I looked at different resorts and went through every photo, checked out the restaurants there and their menu. (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/) All of the ones I looked at, menus were available. Everyone does this right? Finally it came down to three resorts in our budget, an average meal plan and a memory maker. After all this is my kids first trip and my first adult Disney trip.... I'm pretty certain I'm more excited than both of them together.

We finally booked the dream vacation!!! My dream! I've been a Disney fanatic since forever. #Disneyforlife We booked the Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I googled, checked reviews, photos, menus, and asked others... They recommended here over other places.

According to Disney's website I can start making reservations exactly 180 days prior to your stay if your staying at a Disney Resort and apparently it's vital to make it as soon as you can before others do.

Now, the dining plan is where it gets tricky according to bloggers or other Mom's planning Disney trips. Of course, you want to make sure to use all of your credits wisely. So, me being me I found a website to calculate our dinner and lunch credits out. (This was the best one I found: https://distripplanner.com/) It has helped me out tremendously. Just like every human, I want to make sure we get our money's worth. We still have a little bit to really plan that out, but it's good to look at the menus ahead of time. Also don't forget to make sure you save for tips. ***Tips are not included in your Disney Dining Plan.

There are so many things you can do to prepare your Disney Dream trip, even a year out. I've pinned a LOT of Disney trips and tricks on my pinterest. I've already started designing and making some of our shirts with @PresleysCorner and buying things I know the kids will want in advance from some of my favorite stores here.

So much to do, in so little time.
