Pregnant & Tanning

HopefulTravelMom

I'm not kidding when I say I was pregnant and tanning. If you check out my about me you learn four things. One. I love to travel, hence the travel blog #lovetotravel

Two. My husband does not #ilovehimbutitslame

Three. I have two kids here on earth #momlife

Four. One beautiful girl in heaven #momofanangel

My oldest and I decided last minute of spring break to travel with my parents to beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida. It seems to be a place my parents love to travel to often. This is a yearly trip for them, and when my sister attended college in West Palm Beach it was a few times a year type of trip for them. When you think of Florida and Spring Break, your mind is drifting off to the college days of spring break. Well... not at Daytona Beach. It's more for the family type of scenery. Kids running up and down the beach, families finding a spot in front of cars facing the water. If you've never been to Daytona Beach, go ahead and plan it now. You can drive down parts of the beach, which is one of the things I love about the area. #daytonabeach #beachlife

We stayed a few miles from the pier, but close enough you could still walk if you really wanted to.

I was 29 weeks pregnant and this wasn't my first rodeo for pregnancy. So, walking up and down the beach only gave me one thing, kankles. #kankles #cankles ?? Not sure which! They were beautifully tanned kankles though. I managed to take my front side within the first day, and my mom kept asking me how in the world I was going to even that out. It was the beginning of April and Florida is warm, but the pool was not warm enough to lounge in. So, we stuck it out by the beach. It was only my parents, Righley (my 9 year old at the time) and myself that went. Unless you count the unborn baby in my belly at the time, Ellie Grace. There was a lot of families around us, so there was no shame in my game. I wasn't there to impress anyone with my big pregnant belly in my one piece.

So, I started to dig a hole. I measured my belly, and started digging with Righley's sand toys. I only received a few weird looks. Once I thought the hole was big enough. I laid my towel over the hole..... and laid face down. My belly fit right in the hole and guess who got their back side tanned? This pregnant lady right here. I believe it was the highlight of my trip.
